When a two bit hacker gets blackmailed by a computer virus, he is forced to navigate a dangerous path in order to escape its clutches. The player guides him on his adventure, and experiences many 'bad ends' along the way...

From the Makers of Willy Bear Beach, Notes from the Cape, and Cape Kabu comes Memory Leak, a visual novel game that features skill checks and player choices. The game is played in runs, with the player experiencing many bad ends along the way to victory, all of which are collected in a gallery to be viewed later.

Check out the full game here:

The demo is a test that features only one scene and a handful of bad ends out of dozens of scenes and endings that are planned for the final game. Currently we hope to have the first path out in June or July 2022.

Hello, while the game is in progress, the game shuts down due to the following error. Since I can't save, I keep playing from the beginning. Is there any way to deal with this?

Thanks for the report. We will look into it asap!

mac demo?

Any sex scenes in this demo?

This game is cool. I would like to translate it to German commercially. Would you be willing to negotiate? It looks effortful and it would be cool to see this in our local language :D

how long is the playtime for this game roughly when it fully releases

(+1)

Play time is difficult to approximate, but what I can tell you is that the first update will have over 40,000 words and over a dozen endings. The final product is likely to have approx 150,000 words and over 60 endings. And it's not a bunch of boring filler scenes, we hate that kind of stuff and we did our best to pack it with non-stop sexy and entertaining action.

Will it support for Android?

We are working on it, but can't make any promises yet!

I know good content takes time, but me wants to see moar :(

I really enjoyed the demo! Can't wait to see more!

Man for how short this demo is, it's perfect. I like that different builds has different outcomes or text, too. Also enjoy the facial expression changes.

I didn't quite understand entirely some of the concepts, though. I first thought he was there in the flesh, but it's more a mind-avatar thing, right? Maybe it's my fault for not understanding it right away though, but it didn't get in the way of replayability and enjoying it overall. To be fair I don't' usually dabble in cyberpunkish stuff either. Looking forward to the game though.

Thank you! In the first update release there will be an intro scene that explains a lot and sets up more about what's going on. Much is left out here, your confusion is very understandable!

I figured it might be something like that. It's a demo after all. I got the idea of it a few runs in though. If the rest of the game is anything like it then I'm excited for it. Thanks for the reply.

Heyo, want to play your game but i cant get it running on linux, am i supposed to use wine or is there a linux executable im missing.

It should run well in Wine, yeah!

It does not, after having to reinstall one component of wine after one error, i only managed to get so far as wine now complaining

ERROR:network_change_notifier_win.cc(157)] WSALookupServiceBegin failed with: 8

ERROR:gl_surface_egl.cc(777)] eglInitialize D3D11 failed with error EGL_NOT_INITIALIZED, trying next display type

excluded the first bit of each error in case it contains sensitive info about my computer

We'll look it over and see what we can do at our next build. To be honest though, our priorities are Windows, Android, and Steam. We're a very small team with very little budget, we have no choice but to focus on the popular platforms.

This is probably a dependency issue or a GPU driver issue. I'm running on a iGPU and the game's running well.

You should try GTK Bottles, nice interface to toy around with Wine and building custom profiles, fixed a lot of previously unexecutable .exe's for me.

Or you can go here and try downloading these Wine dependencies: https://github.com/lutris/docs/blob/master/WineDependencies.md

I thank you for the attempt to help but after trying each of your suggestions it still seems to be failing, i wish i could get more in depth help from you or the developer but unfortunately the terminal from Bottles cannot be copied, i am using an nvidia gpu and have tried using 470 snd 510 drivers and they failed, might try a vm next time.

Edit, your help did make it so i can now hear the game sounds, but when it boots up its a black screen.

On my end, I'm able to get the program to run by running it through the Itch.io desktop client (the Windows version of it can run in Wine, and the Linux version can itself run games in Wine; I run the Linux desktop client) and selecting the index.html file (rather than the Game.exe) file to run.  Does doing that help at all?

The music is S: tier and everything else is around a solid B. Overall pretty good and I'm eagerly looking forward to updates.

Hey when will another build/update of this be released?

(+1)

We hope to have the first path out in April or May 2022.

Could you Possibly make an "OST" Page? Since I want to download what ever music is playing in the Processing Room.

(+1)

The first major update will include music info and later we will incorporate a music gallery as well ✌️

Will we be able to download it when they're completed?

We would very much like to offer that. But the rights to distribute the files in that way are expensive. So in the end it will depend on sales and Patreon subs. We are very happy with the music, but didn't foresee there would be interest in downloading it for casual listening. We will discuss it see what options and costs are involved.

I was busting a move instead of nut

damn the music and style really catched me, really well done.

like it a lot! keep it up and wish the best on these project!

I can vibe with this, the art and music are amazing together.
I really hope this project gets completed.

Certainly very interesting! Can't wait to see just what the future has in store for this game.

Love it so far. When do you think the first version will come out

(+4)(-1)

Thank you! We hope to have the first path released by spring of this year, but we don't have a strict timeline, we are taking production carefully so we can do our best on it.

Ok. Sadly the archive doesn’t work on the demo, so to see the scenes again I have to pass the lots of amount of text. Good thing the music is a total banger and make it more enjoyable

How many endings are there?

(+2)(-1)

The demo has three endings. The full game will have dozens of endings and will also have an organized gallery and list for them.

I like this Game... Although in Processing Room i was listening the music like 10 loop, and not play the game (Well i can't escape the cool music TT) ^L^". Bro, can i get the music tho? Please ^^

The music so dope... i love it ^^

(+1)(-1)

Thanks! We'll look into including the soundtrack with later updates of the game.

Hm, apparently the Master's Dungeon is a bad end? Sounds pretty good to me. Then again, I'm not entirely sure what my goal is.

(+1)(-1)

Thanks! The goals will be more clear and defined when we release the first path, which will include the intro and other information.

(+2)(-1)

FIRST!
Also, good luck, mate!
